What is the most expensive seafood dish you have ever had?
Well, let me tell you, I've had some pretty fancy seafood dishes in my time, but the most expensive one I ever indulged in was truly something out of this world.
I was visiting a high-end restaurant in New York City, feeling all fancy in my suit and tie. I was perusing the menu like a kid in a candy store, trying to decide which delectable seafood dish to order.
Then I saw it. The most expensive item on the menu. The waiter had to place a white tablecloth over my lap before he would even bring it out, because it was just that fancy.
It was a lobster dish, but not just any lobster dish. This was a lobster that had been flown in from some exotic location halfway around the world. It had been raised on a diet of nothing but gold flakes and champagne, and it was served on a bed of truffles that had been imported from France.
The dish was so expensive that I was pretty sure it was worth more than my car. But hey, I was feeling flush that day, so I decided to go for it.
When the dish arrived, I have to admit, I felt a little intimidated by it. I mean, this lobster had practically been raised on caviar and diamonds. But I dug in anyways, carefully cracking open the shell and taking a small bite.
And let me tell you, it was worth every penny. The meat practically melted in my mouth, and the truffle flavor was so intense that I almost felt drunk on the aroma alone.
That meal was certainly something that I'll never forget. And while it might have been the most expensive seafood dish I've ever had, it was also, without a doubt, the most delicious.
