This can be done through various means such as mediation, arbitration or even litigation. There are however also some disadvantages to using international dispute resolution which can make the process slow and difficult.

This is particularly important in today’s world where the consequences of conflicts can be devastating, especially with the advancement of weapons and technology. Dispute resolution through mediation or other similar methods can help to prevent the loss of life, property and other resources.

Another advantage is that it can help to preserve the parties’ relationship. Sometimes, conflict can arise between countries which have a long history of cooperation, trade or shared values.
