What are the best budget-friendly destinations for a summer vacation?

Well, there are so many great budget-friendly destinations for summer vacations! It really depends on what kind of vibe you're looking for and where you're based.

One of my favorite spots is Croatia - stunning beaches, crystal clear waters, and a really relaxed atmosphere. Plus, it's still really affordable despite its popularity. You can find some amazing Airbnb deals, and there are plenty of cheap bars and restaurants too.

Another option could be Portugal - Lisbon is a fantastic city for a long weekend, with lots of great hostels and backpacker hangouts. Or if you're after some beach time, the Algarve is beautiful and relatively cheap. You can easily find a cheap package deal or rent an apartment with friends.

Eastern Europe is also a great choice - places like Budapest, Prague, and Krakow are really popular with young travelers and offer a mix of culture, nightlife, and affordable food and drink. Plus, flights to these destinations tend to be cheaper than other European cities.

If you're looking for something a bit further afield, Southeast Asia is a backpacker's paradise. Countries like Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam have a huge backpacking scene, and you can easily travel on a budget while still experiencing some incredible scenery and culture. Accommodation, food, and transport are all really cheap, so you can stretch your budget a long way.

Closer to home in the US, there are plenty of budget-friendly options too. My top picks would be Austin, Texas, which has a great music scene and plenty of affordable food and drink options. Alternatively, if you're after some beach time, head to Florida - places like Destin and Pensacola have beautiful white sand beaches and lots of affordable rental options.

Ultimately, the best budget-friendly destination for you will depend on your personal preferences and travel style. But with a bit of research and flexibility, there are so many amazing places to visit without breaking the bank.
