Religious education has played a very important role in many different cultures and civilizations throughout history. Basically, it has helped people learn about and understand their beliefs and traditions, and how they relate to the world around them.

People were taught about their gods and goddesses, their rituals and practices, and how to live a good and virtuous life. This helped strengthen their faith and also helped them find meaning in their lives.

People were taught about different philosophies and ways of thinking, and encouraged to ask deep questions about the world. This led to many important discoveries and advancements in science, medicine, and other fields.
