Firstly, the energy sector is one of the main culprits. Fossil-fuel-fired power plants emit greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, which contributes to global warming. Renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power, have been introduced as alternatives, but they are not yet fully exploited. The energy industry can change by embracing technological advancements, using cleaner energy sources that do not generate greenhouse gases such as renewable energy. Governments and other stakeholders should also provide incentives for companies to shift towards cleaner energy alternatives.

Livestock farming, for instance, generates methane gas, a potent greenhouse gas that contributes to global warming. Besides, the industry relies heavily on fossil-fuels for activities, such as crop irrigation and transportation, which contribute to greenhouse gas emissions. To change, the agriculture industry can promote sustainable farming practices, provide alternative and more sustainable packaging products, reduce waste, use hybrid and electric farm machinery and incentivize practices that encourage the growth of green forests and other vegetation. Transportation is another major contributor to climate change, with the increased use of fossil fuels on a global scale. Air and road transport generate carbon dioxide emissions, which contribute to the greenhouse effect.
