As a user of social media myself, I believe that artificial intelligence (AI) plays a crucial role in the development and implementation of e-learning technology. It allows for personalized and adaptive learning experiences that can benefit learners in unique ways.

Firstly, AI algorithms can help identify the learning style or preferences of a user, meaning that learning content can be tailored to suit their individual needs. This is important because everyone learns differently, and e-learning can sometimes take a ‘one size fits all’ approach which can result in some learners struggling or being disengaged. Through AI, the learning content can be adjusted to suit the individual learning goals, styles, and pace of each user. This can result in a more effective and engaging learning experience that feels customized to the individual.

Furthermore, AI can help track progress and offer feedback to learners in real-time, making e-learning more interactive and effective. Identifying areas of struggle or knowledge gaps can help learners to pivot their learning to more beneficial areas. This is done through methods such as quizzes or simulations that encourage learners to apply newly acquired knowledge in real-world scenarios. Using AI to offer personalized and immediate feedback can support the growth of stronger problem-solving skills and increased self-awareness of the user’s learning trajectory.

One aspect of e-learning has been the use of chatbots or virtual assistants that can facilitate learning. They provide learners with a 24/7 point of contact, answering questions, and offering guidance during learning. The use of AI in the functioning of these chatbots, making these language processing and synthesizing skills more variable, which generates an more organic and relaxed connection to aspects such as customer support. Schools, universities or other educational institutions can provide a faster and friendlier service, which rather traditional methods could take up more time, effort and money.

In sum, the use of AI in e-learning technology provides many significant benefites to learners. Through personalization and real-time feedback, learners can have access to more effective and engaging learning experiences, which encourages them to develop their skills more rapidly.
