When it comes to successful service learning initiatives, there are plenty of examples to draw from. Service learning projects typically involve combining community service with academic coursework to create a unique and impactful learning experience.

One example of a successful service learning initiative is the Wabash Center for Teaching and Learning in Theology and Religion, which offers an annual workshop for faculty members who want to develop service learning courses. Through this program, participating faculty members have been able to design successful service learning initiatives that have positively impacted their students and local communities.

Another great example of a successful service learning initiative is the Phoenix Union High School District's (PUHSD) Youth Work Service Learning Program, which allows students to earn academic credit while participating in paid internships with local businesses.
