The Mesozoic era is a period of time in Earth's history that lasted millions of years ago. During this time, there were lots of dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures that lived on the planet. Scientists have been studying this time period to learn more about the Earth's climate and how it has changed over time.

One of the things that scientists have learned from studying the Mesozoic era is that there have been periods in Earth's history where the climate has changed quite a bit. For example, during the Jurassic period, the climate was much warmer than it is now. The Earth was also covered in lots of forests, and there were lots of different types of plants and animals that lived in these forests.

During the Cretaceous period, the Earth's climate changed again. This time, the climate became warmer and wetter, and there were lots of giant herbivores living in the forests. However, towards the end of the Cretaceous period, the climate began to change again. The Earth became colder and drier, and many of the creatures living on the planet went extinct.
