Oh my goodness, where do I even begin? The world is filled with so many incredible people who are driving change towards a friendlier and more sustainable planet. It's like asking me to choose my favorite flavor of ice cream- impossible!

But let me try to highlight some of the key figures who are really making a difference.

First off, I have to give a shoutout to Greta Thunberg. This young Swedish activist has become the face of the global climate strike movement, inspiring millions of young people to take to the streets and demand action on climate change. Her fiery speeches have also put pressure on world leaders to step up their game when it comes to sustainability.

Another key figure in the sustainability world is Bill Gates. Yes, THAT Bill Gates. The Microsoft co-founder has turned his attention towards combating climate change through his Breakthrough Energy Ventures fund, which invests in clean energy startups. He's also written a book called "How to Avoid a Climate Disaster," which outlines his vision for a sustainable future.

Speaking of clean energy startups, have you heard of Elon Musk? I'm pretty sure this guy is an actual superhero. Not only did he found Tesla Motors, which produces electric cars and is helping to revolutionize the auto industry, but he's also the CEO of SpaceX and has visions for colonizing Mars. I mean, come on. That's just cool.

But it's not just big names like Gates and Musk who are driving change. There are plenty of local activists and entrepreneurs who are making a difference in their communities. For example, there's Lauren Singer, who runs a zero-waste store in Brooklyn and has become an Instagram sensation with her tips for living a waste-free lifestyle. Or there's Boyan Slat, who founded The Ocean Cleanup, an organization that's working to remove plastic from our oceans.

And I haven't even mentioned politicians like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who championed the Green New Deal in the U.S. Congress, or scientists like Jane Goodall, who has spent her life studying chimpanzees and advocating for conservation.

There are so many people who are driving change towards a friendlier and more sustainable planet, and I feel grateful to be living in a time where we are seeing real progress being made. Let's all do our part and join the movement!
