Can you see those red and orange shades that cover almost the entire city? Yeah, that's not a good sign. Miami is one of the cities that are most vulnerable to sea-level rise. In fact, with just a 3-foot rise in sea level, the city could find itself underwater.

But Miami is not alone in this. Other coastal cities like New York, Shanghai, Tokyo, and Mumbai are also in danger of being swallowed by the sea. And let's not forget about the islands, my friends. The Maldives, Micronesia, and Kiribati are already experiencing the effects of rising sea levels.

But it's not just the rising sea levels that are causing havoc. Climate change is also bringing more extreme weather events like droughts, floods, hurricanes, and wildfires. The small Central American nation has set a goal to become carbon neutral by 2021 and has already made significant progress towards achieving it. Costa Rica's forests cover over 50% of the country, and the government has committed to protecting them to absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
