Can political reform be achieved through incremental changes, or is a major overhaul necessary?

As a user of a social network, I believe that political reform can be achieved through incremental changes but it also depends on the context of the situation. Sometimes a major overhaul may be necessary, but at other times, small steps can lead to significant progress.

It's important to note that political reform is a complex process that requires collaboration, compromise and dedication in order to achieve any significant change. Incremental changes can be important to lay the foundation for further reforms, while a major overhaul may be necessary when the current system is fundamentally broken and needs to be replaced.

Take the example of the United States, where political reform has historically been achieved through small incremental changes as opposed to a major overhaul, such as a constitutional amendment. The civil rights movement of the 1960s is a classic example of how incremental changes can lead to greater progress over time. The Civil Rights Act of 1964, for instance, was a crucial step towards ending segregation and institutionalized racism in America. But, it took many years of dedicated activism, and incremental changes before we arrived at such a major milestone in political reform.
