Well, if you're looking for some truly off-the-beaten-path destinations in the Scottish Highlands, there are a few places that I highly recommend checking out. First up is the beautiful area known as Glen Affric. This stunning valley is home to some of the most spectacular natural scenery in Scotland, with towering mountains, lush forests, and sparkling lochs all vying for your attention. There are plenty of hiking trails and other outdoor activities to enjoy here, so it's a great choice for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.

Another hidden gem in the Highlands that's well worth a visit is the ancient township of Fortingall. This charming little village is located in a quiet corner of the western Highlands, and its rich history and culture make it a fascinating place to explore. Be sure to check out the ancient yew tree in the village churchyard, which is said to be over 5000 years old and is one of the oldest living things in Europe!
