As someone who has experience with mood disorders and has sought help through clinical psychology and psychotherapy, I can definitely say that these techniques have been extremely helpful in managing my symptoms.
However, I don't think we can necessarily say that mood disorders can be cured. Rather, I think treatment is more about learning how to manage and cope with symptoms in a way that allows us to live fulfilling lives.
For me, therapy has been crucial in teaching me coping mechanisms, helping me identify triggers and negative thought patterns, and providing a safe space to talk about my struggles. It's also helped me work through past traumas that were exacerbating my symptoms.
