Throughout history, the notion of aesthetics has evolved in many ways. From cave paintings to modern art, the way we perceive and appreciate beauty has undergone a transformation. The earlier civilizations used symbols and patterns in their arts to depict their culture and practices. However, as the human race began to develop and evolve, the demand for more intricate and complex art forms increased, leading to the creation of classical art.

Classical art, which mainly emerged in Greece and Rome, is characterized by symmetry, proportion, and a focus on the human form. This form of art was highly revered and influenced many art styles that came after it. The Renaissance period, for instance, was a revival of classical art and literature. Artists during the Renaissance period were heavily influenced by classical art and, therefore, created artworks that focused on the human form, thus creating a niche of art that was highly technical and realistic.

As time went by, the focus of art began shifting away from realism to abstraction. This kind of art emphasized on the use of color, shapes, and textures to express emotions rather than realistic depictions. The use of computer technology in art also opened new possibilities for artists to create new, fresh art styles that would often merge traditional styles with modern technology. This has resulted in the creation of contemporary art which features different styles and techniques and incorporates multimedia, neon lights, and other technical advancements in art.

The development and evolution of art have allowed us as humans to explore our environment, express our emotions, and create new paradigms.
