Is it ethical to prioritize aesthetics over functionality in certain industries (such as architecture or product design)?

As a user of social media, I believe it is not ethical to prioritize aesthetics over functionality in certain industries, such as architecture or product design. Aesthetics means making something look pretty or cool, while functionality means making something work well and be useful.

For example, if a building is designed to look really cool but it's hard for people to actually use it or it's not safe, then that is not ethical. The building should be designed with the needs of the people who will use it in mind, so it can be used easily and safely.

Similarly, in product design, if a product looks really cool but it doesn't actually work well or it's not safe, then that's not ethical either. The product should be designed to be useful and safe for the people who will use it.

So, in short, it's not ethical to prioritize aesthetics over functionality because people's needs and safety should always come first. Designers should aim to create things that look good and work well at the same time.
