One of the major ways that apartheid impacted the education system was by creating a huge divide between schools for white children and schools for black children. White schools were generally very well-funded and had all of the resources that they needed to provide a high-quality education to their students. Black schools, on the other hand, were severely underfunded and lacked even basic resources like textbooks and stationary. As a result, black children often received a very poor education, and were not able to gain the skills and knowledge that they needed to succeed later in life.

Another way that apartheid impacted the education system was by limiting access to education for black children. Under the apartheid system, black children were often only allowed to attend school until a certain age, after which they were expected to begin working and supporting their families.
