Well, that's a great question to reflect on. In my opinion, the political landscape has a significant impact on the effectiveness of decentralisation policies. When there is a stable and democratic political system, decentralisation policies tend to be more effective. However, when political instability is present, decentralisation policies might fail or not be implemented correctly.

Decentralisation policies aim to shift the political power from central authorities to local governments or communities. This approach promotes a more participatory and inclusive decision-making process, where local actors have a more significant role in solving their region's issues. However, the implementation of decentralisation policies requires a strong political will and commitment from central authorities.
