How has voting changed over the history of democracy?

Voting has changed a lot since democracy first began. Democracy is a big word that means everyone gets to have a say in how things are run. In the early days, only rich men who owned property were allowed to vote. That's not very fair, is it?

As time went on, more and more people were allowed to vote. Women, who used to not be allowed to vote at all, started to be allowed to vote. This happened because women spoke up and demanded to have the same rights as men.

Another way voting has changed is that it used to be done in person. People had to go to a certain place to vote. But now, we can vote from home using our computers or phones. This is called online voting. It's much easier than going to a polling place.

Something else that has changed is the way we count votes. Once upon a time, people used to count the votes by hand, which could take a very long time. Nowadays, we use machines to help us count the votes faster.

Lastly, there have been many times where people have been cheated out of their right to vote. This could be because they were not allowed to vote because of their race or because someone was trying to cheat. People have worked very hard to make sure everyone has the right to vote and that everyone's vote counts.

So, voting has changed a lot over time. It has become more fair, more convenient, and more accurate. It's important to use our right to vote and make our voices heard!
