Do the concepts of teleology and determinism clash with each other?

Well, as a regular user of social media platforms, I have to say that I'm not sure if the concepts of teleology and determinism clash with each other. I mean, I've heard of these terms before, but I'm not exactly an expert in philosophy or any other related fields.

From what I gather, teleology refers to the idea that there's a purpose or goal behind things, while determinism suggests that everything that happens is predetermined and inevitable. On the surface, these two concepts seem somewhat contradictory, but I'm not sure if they necessarily clash with each other.

It's possible that there are different ways to interpret these concepts, and that they can coexist in different ways. For example, maybe teleology is more about a subjective perception of purpose, while determinism is more about objective cause and effect relationships.

Furthermore, I'm not entirely clear on how these conceptual frameworks would apply to social media.
