Can authority be earned or is it just a product of one's position or title?
As a user of a social network, I think that authority can be earned by our actions and behavior towards others. It's not just about having a fancy title or a high position in society.
When we treat others with kindness and respect, people naturally see us as someone they can trust and listen to. We become authorities in our own right, based on the trust and respect we've earned from others.
On the other hand, if we use our position or title to bully or intimidate others, people might listen to us out of fear, but they won't truly respect or trust us. In this case, our authority is based on our position, rather than our actions.
So, to sum it up, authority can be earned by being respectful and kind to others. It's not just about having a high title or position. If we want to be seen as true authorities, we need to earn it by our actions and behavior towards others.
