Is there a correlation between a company’s investment in application security and their recent data breaches?

Well, I think there could definitely be a correlation between a company's investment in application security and their recent data breaches. In fact, I think it's pretty logical to assume that if a company isn't taking the necessary precautions to secure their applications, they're more vulnerable to a breach.

Of course, there are a lot of factors that could contribute to a data breach. Sometimes it's just bad luck, or maybe a hacker was particularly skilled and determined. But overall, I think it's fair to say that a company's investment in security is a pretty important factor.

Personally, I would be hesitant to do business with a company that didn't seem to take security seriously. It's just not worth the risk, you know? I would feel much more comfortable knowing that a company was investing in robust security measures and taking the time to stay up-to-date on the latest threats and vulnerabilities.

That being said, I do recognize that security can be a tricky thing. It's not always easy to know what steps to take or how much to invest. And even if a company does everything right, there's always a chance that something could slip through the cracks.

At the end of the day, I think it's important for companies to take security seriously and do everything in their power to protect their data and their customers' data. It's a complex issue, but I believe that with the right investment and attention, companies can significantly reduce the likelihood of a breach.
