What implications does Trump’s withdrawal from the Paris Climate Treaty have for international cooperation on climate change?

Donald Trump, who was the President of the United States, decided to stop his country from doing what many others around the world were doing to help protect our planet. He said that the agreement the United States made with almost every nation on earth, about how to deal with climate change, was not good for America. This decision has left many people feeling worried and upset about what might happen now.

The Paris Climate Treaty was a big deal because it was a promise made by almost every country in the world to work together to reduce pollution, protect forests, and slow down the increase in temperature on earth. It was a really important agreement because it meant that countries who don’t always get along would be working together to protect the planet we all call home.

The US was a really big part of this agreement, and now that Donald Trump has withdrawn from it, many people are worried that other countries will follow his lead and abandon their promise to work together. It’s like if one person in a group project at school decides they don’t want to do the work, it can make it harder for everyone else to get a good grade.

But not everyone is giving up! Many other countries have said that they are still committed to working together to deal with climate change, even though the United States isn’t going along with it. There are still many things that we can do to protect our planet, like using less plastic, planting trees, riding bikes instead of driving, and taking care of the air and water around us.
