Why is institutional racism such a pervasive problem around the world?

Institutional racism is a big problem all around the world because it happens when the systems and rules of a country or organization are made to favor some people and not others because of their race. This means that some people are able to get ahead and have more opportunities, while others are held back and face more challenges just because of the color of their skin.

For example, in some countries, people of color may have a harder time getting hired for jobs or may not get paid as much as white people for doing the same job. Or, in some schools, students of color may be given less resources and support than white students, which can affect their ability to succeed in school and in life.

Institutional racism is a pervasive problem because it can be hard to see and even harder to change. It can be deeply rooted in the systems and laws of a country, and it can take a long time and a lot of effort to make meaningful changes. It's important for all of us to learn and understand more about institutional racism so that we can work together to create a more fair and equal world for everyone.
