Well, my friend! "Reasoning" means using our brains to think and figure things out. Sometimes, it can be hard to understand really complicated things like big problems in society. Society is made up of all the people around us and all the things we do together.
There are some important limitations (or things that make it hard) for us to use our reasoning to understand these kinds of big problems:
1. Lack of information: Sometimes we just don't know enough about what's going on. It can be really hard to figure out what the problem is if we don't have all the facts.
2. Bias: Everyone has their own opinions and beliefs, so it can be hard to look at a problem from all angles without being influenced by our own thoughts and feelings.
3. Complexity: Some problems are just really tricky! Society is a big, complicated thing, so it can be hard to understand how all the parts fit together and contribute to a problem.
4. Emotions: Sometimes, when we care a lot about something, our emotions can get in the way of our reasoning. This can make it hard to think clearly about a problem and find a solution.
All of these things make it really hard to understand big societal problems just by using our reasoning. The good news is, there are other ways we can try to understand these problems! We can ask experts, read books and articles, or talk to lots of different people to get a better understanding of the problem. So, don't worry if you don't understand everything right away - there are lots of ways to figure it out!
