Yes, it is possible for plagiarism to be an unintentional mistake. Plagiarism happens when you use someone else's words or ideas without giving them credit for it. Sometimes we might do this by accident if we don't know the right way to use sources.

For example, let's say you're writing a report on your favorite animal and you find a really cool fact online that you want to use. If you copy and paste that fact into your report without saying where you got it from, that's plagiarism. But if you use the fact and say that you found it on a certain website, then you're giving credit to the person who wrote it.

So how can we avoid plagiarism by mistake? One way is to make sure that we always give credit to our sources. This means saying where we found information like websites or books, and using quotation marks when we use someone else's words.

Another way is to make sure we understand what plagiarism is and why it's important. When we use someone else's work without giving them credit, it's like we're taking something that doesn't belong to us. It's not fair or respectful to the person who worked hard to create that work.

By being honest and respectful with our sources, we can avoid unintentional plagiarism and make sure we're doing the right thing in our writing.
