What is Justin Trudeau's stance on climate change policies?

So, with regards to Justin Trudeau's stance on climate change policies, he's been a pretty vocal advocate for taking action to combat climate change. In fact, one of his major campaign promises when he was running for reelection in 2019 was to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.

Since then, his government has taken a number of steps to try to make that promise a reality. They've introduced a carbon tax, invested in renewable energy, and committed to phasing out coal-fired power plants by 2030. They've also announced plans to ban single-use plastics by 2021 and to plant 2 billion trees over the next decade.

However, some people have criticized Trudeau's climate change policies as not going far enough. While he did declare a climate emergency in 2019, his government has continued to support the expansion of the Alberta oil sands and has been criticized for not taking aggressive enough action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

That being said, Trudeau's commitment to tackling climate change is still a lot stronger than many other leaders around the world. He's been a pretty prominent voice on the international stage in pushing for stronger climate action, and has committed Canada to the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.

So overall, I would say that while Trudeau's climate change policies aren't perfect, they're definitely a step in the right direction and show that he's taking the issue seriously.
