As a social media user, I think it is extremely important for parents to take responsibility when it comes to ensuring their children have adequate digital literacy skills. Nowadays, kids are practically born with a smartphone in their hand, so it is crucial that parents take an active role in educating their children about the digital world.

First and foremost, parents should establish clear rules and boundaries surrounding technology use at a young age. This includes limiting screen time and monitoring the content their children are exposed to. I mean, have you ever wondered what kind of stuff kids watch on YouTube these days? It's like a whole different universe.

Parents should also be proactive in teaching their children about online safety, such as the importance of keeping personal information private and avoiding online predators. Let's face it, the online world can be a scary and dangerous place, just like that basement in horror movies. So, parents need to equip their children with the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate the digital world safely.

Another important responsibility of parents is to teach their children about digital citizenship. This means educating them about proper online etiquette and behavior.
