Totalitarian regimes often employ propaganda, censorship, and violence to maintain their power, leading to human rights violations and widespread suffering.

Several countries have experienced the devastating impacts of totalitarianism, with some of the most affected being China, North Korea, and Russia. China, for instance, has been under the rule of the Chinese Communist Party since 1949, with the party exercising a high degree of control over government and society. The government has employed censorship and propaganda to suppress the Chinese people's freedom of speech and restrict their access to information, leading to a lack of transparency and accountability. Additionally, the government has been accused of committing gross human rights violations, including the systemic abuse of religious minorities and the use of concentration camps to detain and reeducate them.

North Korea is another country that has been severely affected by totalitarianism.
