How does climate change impact biodiversity and the survival of species?

Climate change is causing big problems for animals and plants all over the world. The temperature is getting hotter, the sea level is rising, and there are more extreme weather events like floods, storms and droughts. This is all because of too much pollution from cars, factories, and other things that we use in our daily lives.

All of this is making it harder for many animals and plants to survive. Biodiversity means having many different types of animals and plants living in an area. But climate change is causing some of them to disappear, which means less biodiversity. When one type of animal that is important to an ecosystem disappears, it can have a big impact on all the other animals and plants that live there.

For example, the polar bear is a very important animal in the Arctic ecosystem. But it is losing its habitat because the ice is melting. This makes it harder for them to find food and raise their young. If the polar bear goes extinct, it will have a huge impact on the entire Arctic ecosystem and all the animals and plants that depend on it.

Another example is coral reefs, which provide a home for millions of different kinds of creatures. But as the ocean temperature rises, the coral reefs are dying. This means many species will have nowhere to live and will eventually die off as well.

So, climate change is causing many species to go extinct and making it harder for others to survive. We need to take action to reduce our impact on the environment and help protect these animals and plants before it’s too late.
