What are the limitations of relying on epistemology as a means of understanding the universe?

As an expert in epistemology, I must say that while epistemology provides us with a powerful toolset to comprehend and reason about the structure of knowledge and belief, there are limits to its application when it comes to understanding the universe.

The universe is a complex entity that cannot be entirely explained through knowledge alone. Science and other fields of inquiry that utilize observation, experimentation, and analysis, complement epistemology and are essential for a comprehensive understanding of the universe.

Secondly, epistemology operates within certain frameworks or paradigms, which can limit the scope of our understanding. Our perception of the universe is influenced by various factors such as our cultural background, social context, education, and individual experiences. Therefore, our epistemological approaches are subjective and limited by our worldview.

It does not address questions about the origins of reality, ultimate causation, or the fundamental nature of the universe.
