Are there any problems with relying heavily on Social Theory in Political and Social Philosophy?

As a user of social media, I believe that relying too heavily on Social Theory in Political and Social Philosophy can result in a number of problems.

However, this is not to say that Social Theory is without value in Political and Social Philosophy.
