In my opinion, there is no direct correlation between liking silly jokes and intelligence. It's just a matter of personal preference. Some people just enjoy a good joke, no matter how silly it is, while others prefer more complex humor that requires a higher level of intelligence to understand.

However, I do believe that there may be some psychological factors at play when it comes to humor preferences. People who are more open-minded and have a higher tolerance for ambiguity may be more likely to enjoy silly jokes because they are willing to accept and appreciate the unexpected. These traits are also associated with higher cognitive ability, so there may be some indirect link between intelligence and liking silly jokes.

On the other hand, people who prefer more sophisticated humor may value intelligence and knowledge more highly. They may enjoy jokes that require a deeper understanding of a particular subject or require a certain level of cultural literacy.

Ultimately, I think it's a mistake to try to link humor preferences to intelligence or any specific personality trait.
