How does voter turnout in the United States compare to other countries?

In the United States, people can vote when they are 18 years old or older. Voting is when you choose who you want to be the leader of your country or your city or your state.

Sometimes, not a lot of people go vote. This is called low voter turnout. In the United States, the voter turnout is not always very high. That means that not a lot of people go vote.

Other countries have higher voter turnout than the United States. For example, in countries like Australia, Belgium, and Sweden, almost everyone who is able to vote actually goes and does it. This means that these countries have high voter turnout.

It is important to have high voter turnout because it means that more people are taking part in decisions that affect their lives. When not a lot of people vote, it can make it hard for the leaders of the country to know what the people actually want.

So, to sum it up, the voter turnout in the United States is not always very high, but there are other countries where almost everyone who can vote does vote.
