It helps in the absorption of calcium and phosphorus in the intestine, which are important minerals for bone strength. Without enough vitamin D, our body cannot absorb these minerals properly, which can lead to a decrease in bone mass and density.

Considering all of this, it is clear that hormones play a vital role in the development of osteoporosis. As we age, our hormone levels change, which can have a significant impact on our bone health. Good nutrition and regular exercise can help maintain good bone health, but hormone replacement therapy is also an option for men and women who need it. It is important to keep track of our hormone levels and consult with a doctor if we notice any changes in our bone health.
