In my opinion, one of the biggest challenges facing social justice movements is the issue of cultural relativism. This is the tendency to view different cultures as equally valid and valuable, without making any moral or ethical judgments. While this may seem like a noble and respectful approach, it can also lead to complacency and apathy towards social injustices that are being perpetrated in the name of cultural tradition or custom.
