How is climate change affecting the endangerment of species?

All around the world, climate change is affecting the survival and endangerment of numerous species of plants and animals. The state of the environment plays a critical role in the prosperity of all organisms on the planet. Therefore, the significant changes in the climate are adversely impacting the ecosystem.

One of the most notable effects of climate change on species is changing seasons. The temperature rise causes the onset of spring to occur earlier, and autumn to come later. Animals and insects that rely on the changes in seasons to trigger their life cycles are at risk of extinction due to the mismatch in life stages and the changes in their habitats.

Another significant impact of climate change on species is the rising sea levels. The melting ice caps and glaciers are causing a rapid increase in sea level, and this, in turn, will affect various species' natural habitats, such as marine birds and sea turtles. Coastal habitats will also face the threat of erosion and loss of habitat for fish and other aquatic creatures.

Climate change also has an impact on the distribution of various plant species. A growing trend of warming temperatures in certain regions is causing the migration of species that can no longer survive in their original habitats. This migration disrupts the already established ecosystems and endangers the animals and organisms that thrive on the plants that are migrating.

Harsh weather conditions like heatwaves are fatal to species that cannot tolerate extreme temperatures.
