For example, investments in renewable energy such as solar, wind or geothermal, which doesn't release greenhouse gas emissions, can significantly contribute to reducing global warming.

Another important role of governments and international organizations is the education and awareness they can provide to the public regarding global warming. Such organizations can inform people about the causes and effects of climate change, and encourage them to take actions that reduce their carbon footprint. Education plays an important role, as it enables individuals to recognize the impact that their actions have on the environment, and empowers them to take meaningful steps towards reducing emissions.
