Can a society evolve and adapt its political and social philosophy over time?

I definitely think that a society can evolve and adapt its political and social philosophy over time. In fact, I would argue that this is a natural and necessary process for any society that wants to continue to progress and improve.

The world we live in is constantly changing, and as new technologies, ideas, and issues arise, it's important for our political and social philosophies to evolve and adapt accordingly. For example, just a few decades ago, issues like LGBTQ+ rights and climate change weren't even part of the mainstream political discourse, but now they are among the most pressing issues facing our society.
