2. Visual aid- Video Lectures are more engaging than traditional lectures as they utilize multimedia elements like animations, graphics, and visual aids. These visual aids help students to process and retain information better.

3. Cost-effective- Video Lectures are cost-effective as they eliminate the need for physical classrooms, textbooks, and handouts. MOOCs, in particular, are entirely online and mostly free, making it accessible to the masses.

4. Time-saving- Video Lectures reduce the time required to deliver lectures and eliminates the need for travel and preparation. This allows educators to focus more on creating learning resources, interacting with students, and adapting to different learning styles.

Cons:

1. Lack of interaction- Video Lectures may lack the interaction among students and between student-teacher that traditional lectures provide. MOOCs are faceless, and students may feel lost and disengaged in the crowd.

2. Lack of motivation- When learners are left entirely on their own, they may lack the motivations and discipline needed to continue with their studies. They may procrastinate or lose interest as there are no deadlines or accountability.
