Colonial America was a group of 13 British colonies that were established in North America during the 17th and 18th centuries. These colonies played a big part in the American Revolution and the creation of the United States.

One way that Colonial America contributed to the American Revolution was through the colonists' desire for independence. The British government placed many taxes on the colonists without their consent, which made them very angry. The colonists believed that they should have a say in the taxes that they had to pay. Many colonists became upset and decided to fight for their independence.

This event happened in 1773, when a group of colonists dressed up as Native Americans and dumped British tea into the Boston Harbor.
