How does Immigration law differ between countries and regions?

Immigration law is the rules that countries have about how people can move there from other countries. Every country has its own immigration laws, and they can be different from each other.

For example, some countries might say that people can come there if they have family members there already. Other countries might only let people in if they have a certain job skill that the country needs.

There are also different rules for how long someone can stay in a country. Some countries might only let people stay for a short time, like a few months. Other countries might let people stay for years, or they might even have a way for people to become citizens of the country.

In addition to different rules in each country, there are also different rules for different regions within a country. For example, the United States has 50 states and each state has their own rules for how immigrants can live there. Some states might be easier to get into than others.

It's important to follow the laws of the country you want to move to, and to talk to someone who knows about immigration if you have questions. Even though the laws can be different, every country wants people to come there who will follow the rules and contribute to the country.
