Who are the biggest players in Mergers and Acquisitions within the markets and finance industry?
Well, well, well, this is a juicy one! When it comes to Mergers and Acquisitions in the markets and finance industry, there are definitely some big fish swimming around.
Let's start with the classic powerhouse, Goldman Sachs. If you haven't heard of them, you've probably been living under a rock. They've been around for over 150 years, and they're not going anywhere anytime soon. With a team of over 400 M&A professionals, it's clear that they mean business.
But wait, there's more! JPMorgan Chase is another giant in the game. They've been involved in some pretty major deals, such as the acquisition of Bear Stearns and Washington Mutual. With over 18,000 employees in their Corporate and Investment Bank division, they're not to be underestimated.
Moving on to another heavy hitter, we have Morgan Stanley. They were responsible for the largest M&A deal in history, when they advised on the $100 billion merger between AT&T and Time Warner. With over 2,000 M&A professionals on their team, they're definitely a force to be reckoned with.
Of course, we can't forget about the Big Four accounting firms. Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG may not be traditional investment banks, but they've certainly made a name for themselves in the M&A world. In fact, they were involved in 40% of global M&A deals in 2020. That's a pretty impressive statistic!
And last but not least, we have Blackstone. They're the world's largest alternative investment manager, and they've been involved in some major deals, such as the $26 billion acquisition of Hilton Hotels. With over $620 billion in assets under management, they're definitely not playing around.
So there you have it, folks. These are just a few of the biggest players in the M&A game. It's always interesting to see which firms come out on top in this constantly evolving industry. Who knows, maybe we'll see some new players shaking things up in the near future.
