Are there any fantasy books that you believe are underrated?

Hey there! Thanks for asking me this question. As an avid reader of fantasy books, I definitely have a few underrated favorites that I think more people should check out.

First on my list is "The Queen of the Tearling" series by Erika Johansen. This trilogy follows the story of Kelsea Glynn, a young queen who must navigate the political intrigue and power struggles of her kingdom while also facing supernatural threats. I love the world-building in this series, as well as the strong and complex character development of Kelsea. Unfortunately, I don't see this series talked about enough in fantasy circles, so I highly recommend it.

Another underrated book that I absolutely adored is "The Golem and the Jinni" by Helene Wecker. This historical fantasy novel takes place in turn-of-the-century New York City and follows the unlikely friendship between a golem and a jinni. I was drawn in by the beautiful prose and the unique blending of Jewish and Arabic mythology. It's a slower-paced book, but the character development and exploration of cultural identity are well worth the read.

Lastly, I have to mention "The Invisible Library" series by Genevieve Cogman. This series follows the adventures of Irene, a spy for an interdimensional library that collects rare books from different alternate universes. This series is a fun and clever mash-up of fantasy, steampunk, and espionage genres. I love the quirky characters and the imaginative world-building. It's a shame that this series doesn't get more attention, as it's definitely a fun and easy read.

Overall, I think these three underrated fantasy books are definitely worth checking out. They all offer something unique and special to the genre, and it's a shame that they don't get talked about more often. I hope you enjoy them if you decide to give them a try!
