Can you recommend any independent suspense films that may have flown under the radar?

Yeah sure! I actually love watching independent suspense films, they always have a unique and fresh take on the genre. Here are a few recommendations that I think you may enjoy:

1. "Blue Ruin" (2013) - This film follows a man seeking revenge for his parents' murder, but things don't go as planned. It's a slow-burn thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end.

2. "The Invitation" (2015) - This film is about a man attending a dinner party hosted by his ex-wife and her new husband. As the night progresses, things start to seem off and paranoia sets in. The tension in this movie is palpable, and the ending is sure to leave you shocked.

3. "The Guest" (2014) - This film is about a soldier who visits the family of a fallen comrade. He quickly becomes ingratiated with the family, but dark secrets begin to emerge. This movie has a great blend of action, suspense, and horror.

4. "The Vast of Night" (2019) - This movie is a sci-fi thriller set in the 1950s and follows a radio DJ and switchboard operator as they investigate a strange audio frequency. The pacing in this film is deliberate, but the payoff is worth it.

5. "Creep" (2014) - This movie is a found footage film about a videographer who responds to a Craigslist ad for a one-day job. The client turns out to be a bit eccentric and things quickly take a turn for the worse. This movie is creepy (as the title suggests) and does a great job of building tension.
