What is the biggest obstacle currently facing the global protection of human rights?

The biggest obstacle facing the global protection of human rights is that not everyone agrees on what human rights are. Some people think that certain rights, like the right to own a gun or the right to not wear a mask during a pandemic, are more important than the rights of other people to remain safe and healthy. Other people think that everyone should have the same basic rights, like the right to food, water, shelter, and education, no matter where they come from or what their background is. It's hard to protect human rights when there are so many different opinions and beliefs about what they are and who deserves them.

Another obstacle to protecting human rights is that some countries and governments don't respect or enforce them. Even if there are laws in place to protect human rights, they may not be enforced or may be ignored by those in power. This can put people at risk of discrimination, violence, and other abuses.

It's important for people to speak out and advocate for human rights, even if they don't personally experience discrimination or oppression. When we stand up for the rights of others, we create a safer and more just world for everyone. We can also support organizations that work to protect human rights and hold governments accountable when they fail to do so. By working together and respecting the rights of all people, we can overcome the obstacles to global human rights protection and create a more peaceful and equal world.
