Have any famous figure skaters ever trained or performed at a particular ice skating rink that's now a must-visit location?

Well, there are actually quite a few ice skating rinks that have gained popularity for having hosted some famous figure skaters in the past. One that immediately comes to mind is the Ice Skating Rink at Rockefeller Center in New York City.

Over the years, this rink has seen Olympic champions like Peggy Fleming and Dick Button perform and train. Today, it continues to attract professional skaters and beginners alike with its iconic location right in the heart of Midtown Manhattan.

Another famous rink that has seen its fair share of figure skating legends is the Ice Palace in Lakeland, Florida. It was here that Olympic gold medalist Scott Hamilton began his skating career, and many other elite skaters have followed in his footsteps, including Kristi Yamaguchi and Todd Eldredge.

But perhaps the most iconic of all is the Iceberg Skating Palace in Sochi, Russia. Built for the 2014 Winter Olympics, it quickly became one of the most recognizable rinks in the world. It was here that Yuna Kim of South Korea won her second Olympic gold medal, just four years after she set the world record for the highest score ever awarded to a ladies' figure skater.

Despite its fame, the Iceberg Skating Palace has since been converted into an exhibition center. However, visitors can still get a sense of the history that was made on its ice when they tour the facility.
