Can a society based on hedonistic values be considered moral?

A society based on hedonistic values is one that values pleasure and self-gratification above all else. This means that people in this society are always seeking to do things that give them pleasure or make them feel good, even if it goes against what is considered moral or ethical.

So, can a society like this be considered moral? Well, it depends on what you mean by moral. If being moral means doing what is right and just, then a hedonistic society may not be considered moral, because people in this society may prioritize their own pleasure over what is right and just for others.

On the other hand, if being moral means doing what is best for oneself and others, then a hedonistic society may be considered moral if people in this society can balance their desire for pleasure with their responsibility to do what is right and just for others.

In the end, it's up to each individual in a society to decide what is moral and ethical. So even in a hedonistic society, there can be people who strive to do what is right and just, and that is something to be valued and encouraged.
