Can economic growth be sustained in the long term and what are the risks associated with it?
Economic growth means that our community is getting richer and producing more stuff. But sometimes we wonder if we can keep growing like this forever. The answer is no, we can't keep growing without facing some risks.
One of the risks is that we might use up all our natural resources like water, air, and forests. If we use too much of these resources, we might not have them anymore, which means we can't provide for our community.
Another risk is that we might produce too much pollution and trash. This pollution can harm people, animals, and plants and make it hard for us to live healthy lives.
Also, economic growth might not be fair for everyone in the community. Sometimes the rich get richer, but the poor don't get any better. This could cause social problems which are very bad for us.
So, we need to be careful about how we grow as a community. We need to make sure that we are using our resources wisely and in a way that won't harm our environment. We also need to make sure that everyone in our community benefits from economic growth.
