There are many great film noirs out there, but one that stands out as the top-ranked of all time is Double Indemnity. This movie was made way back in 1944, but it is still considered a classic today.

Double Indemnity tells the story of an insurance salesman named Walter Neff who gets caught up in a plot to defraud an insurance company. He meets a woman named Phyllis Dietrichson, who is married to a wealthy businessman, and the two of them hatch a plan to take out a life insurance policy on her husband and then stage his death to collect the money.

Things don't go according to plan, of course, and Neff finds himself caught up in a web of deceit and betrayal. There are plenty of twists and turns along the way, and the tension builds to a thrilling climax.
