For example, if we notice that a field is becoming too dry, we can use technology to automatically water the plants or add nutrients to the soil to help the plants grow better.

However, there are some limitations to using technology to monitor and prevent land degradation. One big limitation is that not everyone can afford to use these tools, so some areas might be left out. Also, some areas might not have good internet or phone service, which is needed to use some kinds of technology.

Another limitation is that technology can’t always solve the problem. Sometimes the best way to protect or restore the land is to use traditional methods, like planting trees or using natural ways to capture water.
